Java Developer

Description: Our client, located in Louisville, KY, has an immediate opening for an experienced Java Developer. This individual will write software to implement business functional requirements and conduct unit tests, and will modify code for product improvements.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States of America.
Skills/Requirements:
To be considered for this role, the candidate must meet the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise):
Familiarity with all aspects of the SDLC including; functional/technical development, software design and/or implementation, and application testing
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of tools
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of tools
Ability to meet deadlines
3-5 years of experience in developing Java applications in a business environment
Experience working within a disciplined software engineering process including requirements management, design, test, configuration management, and maintenance techniques
Working knowledge of J2SE, J2EE, JSP, Apache Tomcat, SQL, JDBC, HTML, JavaScript, Struts, and Java IDEs
Experience using BIRT and Eclipse Plug-in for report development
Experience with one or more of the following technologies: DHTML/XHTML, JSTL, XML, XSD, XSL, PHP, Perl, PL/SQL, JMS and Microsoft C# .NET
Experience designing and developing Web Services
Experience with the Windows and Linux Operating Systems
Experience designing and developing Web Services
Experience working with the Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Cognos Database environments
Familiarity with writing technical specifications
