An emerging growth oriented internet marketing organization is is looking for software engineers to build the next generation of internet marketing technology specifically geared towards social networking websites like MySpace and Facebook. . The candidates for this position must be knowledgeable in major Internet technologies and relational databases; comfortable working with and/or learning multiple programming languages; and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.

Skills/Requirements: 
BS in a technical field or significant relevant experience
Knowledge of Java (or proven experience in related languages and a thirst to learn more) in a multi-threaded environment demanding high performance
Familiarity with distributed system development demanding high scalability
The ability to rapidly learn new technologies
Self-motivated with strong problem solving and analytic skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Working knowledge of Linux
Knowledge of and experience with major internet technologies, such as PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML, and HTTP, and cookies
Experience with MySql
Comfortable in various operating systems
Functions/Responsibilites: 
Work as part of a small team to design and implement various projects on both new and existing applications
Research and prototype methods of data capture, processing, and analysis from partner web pages
Develop innovative methods for analyzing, utilizing, and presenting collected data
Utilize sound engineering practices to deliver functional, stable, and scalable technology
The initial 3 months of this position will be spent learning the various components of the system and their relationships through the hands-on-experience of fixing issues discovered in QA and Production. You will be assigned new features as your knowledge of the system grows.
