Sr. Java Developer

Modis is currently seeking a qualified Java Developer for an exciting contract to hire opportunity with our client in the Northern, NJ area.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Java Developer will be working in a large team environment on the full life cycle of a software development project. Primary responsibilities will be to analyze requirements and then design, code, test and deploy the Java software applications. The Developer will also prepare the technical documentation for the system software applications.

All coding will be done using Java/J2EE, Struts / Seam, Spring / Hibernate, JavaScript, XML/HTML and UNIX Shell Scripts in a UNIX environment with an Oracle or SQL RDBMS database. These applications interface with advanced IP, Voice and Data networks, so the ideal candidate must have an in-depth understanding of application to application and application to network connectivity using TCP/IP protocols and/or similar Layer 5-7 technologies.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION & HOW TO APPLY

This position is expected to start immediately and last for an initial duration of 12 months. There is a high likelihood of contract extension and /or full time conversion after the initial 12 months.
