Skills/Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in various QA functions with strong QA core competencies.
Expert in black box and integration testing.
Ability to install and troubleshoot Client/Server/DB systems.
Working knowledge of Unix, Linux.
Ability to develop Test Plans and Test Cases
Solid & effective communication skills (verbal and written).
Experience collaborating with remote sites.
Ability to triage issues and multi-task on multiple projects.
Write comprehensive test plans covering multiple features, functional, regression and Sanity/Smoke testing
Ability to hit the ground running with a ‘can-do’ attitude, pro-active.
Ability to work with technical leaders in constructing a plan utilizing their insight and experience in defining QA tasks and scheduling
Experience with Yahoo Widgets, MS/Google Gadgets
Understanding of XML, JavaScript and Perl.
Experience with 3rd party integration.
Test harness development.
Working experience on enterprise applications.
Functions/Responsibilites:
This position will consist of installations and testing of ConnectedTV interfaces and back-end architecture across multiple TV manufacturers.
This position requires deep understanding of QA methodologies, process, and metrics. You will also be responsible to collaborate with development, product management, as well as QA teams in India and US. You will strategize, plan, estimate, specify, and evolve the QA strategy.
This individual must have a combination of knowledge of QA processes/tools and solid background in test coverage of complex multi tier client applications. S/he will need to elevate, lead, influence, and affect quality of Yahoo products.
